over the castle entrance, the Gatehouse Towers stand as towering guardians of the Keystone Castle. Rising six storeys high on either side of the portcullis, these heavily fortified towers are packed with winding spiral staircases, prison cells, sewer access tunnels, and even a holding cage for dangerous beasts awaiting the castle’s command.

Arrow slit windows stare down the approaching road while towering gothic arches overlook the inner courtyard beyond. Deep below, cold stone slab floors form the foundations of the tower, with upper levels transitioning into timber floors and defended battlements crowned with crenellations high above the walls.

While designed to flank the Keystone Castle gatehouse, each tower can also be built as a standalone structure within your world. Transform them into a reclusive mage’s tower, a crumbling watchtower on the edge of the realm, a prison keep, a noble’s fortified residence, or a grim military outpost guarding the roads beyond the city walls.
