Mourning Spire update

Mourning Spire Update Image 1

I've made some pretty good progress over the last few days. I've got to that point where I've got so many little bricks in the 3D programme that my computer's starting to chug. 😂

I've added the bell tower wall sections with the spire above it, which I'm quite pleased with. I've added a round window above the double light doors. I removed one of the round towers because it was making the build massive and even after removing it it's still massive. In fact it's so big (as you can see in image 3) that I'm splitting the building into three sections. A couple of reasons for this 1. It makes building the church more manageable.
2. Removing sections of the church floors a lot easier thirdly it makes it easier to store on a shelf and to pick it up and put it on the shelf especially if it's a high shelf. Now I know there may be a few of you, maybe more than a few, that are looking at this thinking, "Good Lord (excuse the pun), how on earth? We're going to build this massive thing? and we have nowhere to put it." 😮 Well don't worry because I will be designing a smaller version. Or remember you can just use a free studio to design your own church, whatever size you want. I personally want this large church, which will be really impressive, on the table but I also want a small church: that little one that you just want to grab and have in the middle of your table when you're having a quick undead session. Or maybe you've got a little village and you just want a little church amongst the houses.

I'm also considering designing, building, and printing a massive cathedral. However I think I'm going to leave that endeavour until I've definitely got somewhere to put it. 🤣

The front section's almost done. I've just got the stairs, the windows, and the buttresses to sort out.

The middle section is one big empty shell but I've got the basic shape and size of it mapped out.

And the rear is just a rough sketch of where I want the walls. It's going to have a hexagonal Asps section, with a lower wall height with a lower roof and some really impressive windows.

Thanks for reading my ramblings and I will see you in the next one. 😊
