There is a particular moment I never get tired of: seeing a build leave the screen and become a real place on the tabletop.
The digital stage is where the practical questions get answered. Which pieces fit the idea? Where do the doors, walkways and changes of level need to go? Can the layout be rearranged later? Then printing and painting add all the character that a clean model cannot show — worn timber, damp stone, rusty metal and whatever evidence the adventuring party left behind last time.
The best part is that the finished build is not really finished. Move a bridge, swap a wall, open another route and the same collection can support a completely different encounter.
Which part of the journey do you enjoy most: planning the build, printing it, painting it or finally putting figures on the table?
